I've been coming here for the last two years and until recently, I've been pleased with the stylus. About 3 months ago they raised their prices and I noticed they hired all new stylus. Since I've been pleased with the stylus for the past 2 years, I've been purchasing what they call a season pass which is 6 hair cuts for the price of 5. 2 months ago I went in for my usual cut which is a #4 on the sides, #3 on the back and finger length on top. I explained this to the stylus who also had a paper copy from the last time I was in there. Unfortunately the stylus that I had spoke broken English and I don't think she understood me and she gave me a very unsatisfactory hair cut, the way she wanted to cut it. I stewed over this hair cut for a month and a half and letting it grow out. This past week I returned to see if this shop could redeem it's self. I checked in and in a few moments I was greeted by a new stylus, she to spoke broken English. I explained what I wanted and she began to disagree with me. At this point I thought about leaving, but she came over with a picture book which I point to what I wanted. Needless to say that I did not get what I wanted and will not be returning to this establishment.

I have been going to Hair Clips for several years, but yesterday I went to the Springfield, Virginia location for the first time. It will be my last visit to that location. After my stylist gave me a hair cut she pulled the hard sell tactic with products they sell for a problem I have with my hair. I said, "No" several times, but she would not let up. I bought just to get the experience over with. Today, less than 24 hours after my hair cut, I returned to the store to return the product which had been unopened. I was told there was a no return policy. There were no signs in the store that said this nor did it say that on the receipt. I am very angry! People who work in the service industry wonder why the general public treats them like trash. It's episodes like this that creates that dynamic. I don't blame the young woman at the desk who greeted me this afternoon, she was pleasant and doing her job. I get that. What I don't get is a management that is so crass that they will not let a good customer fairly return a product. I intend to address this issue with the local area Chamber of Commerce and with the Sports Clips corporate office.

Honestly was skeptical about going here since advertising makes it seem like some kind of sports bar filled with hyper-masculinity, but it actually has a very chill atmosphere. Folding chairs when waiting are borderline humorous but not a big deal for me. They give discounts to repeat customers on the MVP package. The coolest thing, in my opinion, is that they put a note on how your hair was done last time so if you have another stylist, they can see it in their system and have an idea of what you might want. Super recommend.
